Detroit Tough is a gym that believes in mental and physical toughness. At Detroit Tough, we think outside the box. We are an open gym that also offers over 40 classes per week with some of the top coaches in the country. Our unique and innovative training philosophy allows for any person at any physical level to progress and reach their goals at a safe and manageable pace. As much as we are committed to you and your goals, we are also committed to our community and believe in making Detroit the best city that it can be.  Your absolute best is what we ask for on a daily basis, and remember that EVERYONE is welcome at Detroit Tough.

ALL TRAINERS FULL CLASS SCHEDULE

Corktown Barbell

  • Duration 1 hour

Corktown Barbell is a strength training class based on measurable strength gains in our 3 base lifts, squats, bench press and dead lifts.  Multiple training methods will be utilized from German Volume, Cube, Westside and Wendler. Each class will be structured with technique, form and progression. 60 minute class.

Bodyweight Warrior

Bodyweight involves pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, running and planks. Your body is your best gym.

Detroit Tough Run Club

All levels are welcome. Groups will be tiered based on running capabilities and speed. Nobody runs alone, and nobody gets left behind. Beginners will build endurance with a structured run/walk ratio format. Experienced runners will increase speed and endurance by improving technique and using formatted interval training. Our main goal will be consistent, steady improvement focusing on mechanics and efficiency, building a solid aerobic base, increasing race speed, and improving strength to weight ratio. 

Train Like A Savage

In the world of Train like a Savage, team is all that matters and each exercise builds upon the last. Words cannot explain Savage, it's just something you have to experience. 120 minute class.

TRX Circuit Training

Utilizing TRX Suspension Training straps as well as your own body weight and many other favorites like kettlebells, medicine balls, battle ropes, etc, this class will get your heart pumping and your sweat dripping in a challenging, yet fun and encouraging atmosphere. We focus on strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination. TRX workouts are scaled so that any person, at any level, with any goal can participate.

Kettlebell Konditioning

The Kettlebell has a long and powerful history.  For over 100 years the Ketllebell has been used by a wide variety of athletes for specific strength and conditioning goals.  Led by a IKFF competitor and coach, Ketllebell Konditioning is tailored to fit your training. If you don't know what a Turkish Get Up is, Coach Michael will show you.  Conversely if you are training for a Long Cycle competition, we will have you covered.  

Detroit Tough

Our signature class will combine a little bit of everything our gym has to offer and provide you a "tough" total body workout.  Some classes may involve all bodyweight movements.  Other days you may find yourself lifting heavy awkward Atlas stones then pushing a football sled. 

D-Tough Yoga

D-Tough Yoga is a challenging yoga class that centers around BUILDING & INCREASING strength, flexibility, and stamina using traditional yoga poses. These yoga classes are a supplement to the workouts at Detroit Tough using the fundamentals of yoga: breath, postures, and mindfulness practices.  Be ready to move and sweat!
What to bring: a yoga mat, a towel, & a water bottle.  
Cost:  If you're not a member of Detroit Tough, classes are offered ***for a limited time*** at the walk-in rate of $10. 

Proving Ground

Part Strongman, Part Kettlebell, Part old skool weightlifting, ALL effort and fun.  You will challenge yourself with the Yoke, Husafel Stone, Conan Wheel, Atlas Stones, Sleds, etc.  This class is appropriate for all levels.  

Rucks Bricks & ACRT

Grab your Ruck, fill it with bricks or ACRT and head out to explore Detroit.  This class is meant to explore the city as well as enjoy the city.   It meets rain, snow, sleet or shine. 

Bricktown Bodies

Bricktown bodies focuses on core strengthening and conditioning. There is a different program scheduled for each class. All levels are welcome and modifications are tailored for individual needs.
